Here is a fact. Bait fish can look like a brush pile on 2d and is often marked as a brush pile. DI will show ground separation between fish and bottom in most cases. I run DI/2d split screen to identify this so not to mark bait fish as structure. I also run DI overlay to enhance the 2d image.
I have 2 HDS units up front. Both are run in split screen. One is DI/2d and the other is SI/GPS.
Where are transducers for these units both upfront, don't you get interference with the two transducers shooting out similar/same signals? I don't know just asking-thanks Jax Oh yes I like the way you have your two units screens set, I have been thinking of putting in a second unit to show GPS (cheapo than HDS) but now you got me dreaming..........................
I have HDS SI transducer on TM and I use the US2 for 2d. The units share both transducers via Ethernet. Both units share GPS LCG4000 thru the NMEA2000 network.
