I cant answer about a trolling motor but I do know in the summer months it gets hot enough under a cover to ruin depthfinders. a while back on here someone stuck a thermometer under their cover and it was like 140-150 degrees
I ordered a I-pilot last evening....my boat stays outside under a water tight cover, I live in Ohio where for a month or 2 the weather can get pretty cold and summers can get humid & warm.....would it hurt to leave my I-pilot out side in the cold/warm (more so wondering about the freezing weather) or would it be a wise investment to buy one of the quick removal mounts so I can take it off and store it out of the cold/elements?? any one have any advice on what quick removal mount to look at??? thanks for any info, have a great one all God bless!!!!!!

I would think the manual would have a statement about extreme cold or hot temps like there is with most electronics. Take a look at the paper work and on there somewhere it should have it.
James, I would probably get one of the quick release mounts. Not as much for the weather factor, but more for security. That's an expensive toy to leave outside and those apartments nearby are bad. I've had stuff stolen a few times in the past year from people that live there.
Buy the quick release!!! Then you can send your TM with I-Pilot to Arkansas, and I'll use it and make sure it doesn't get damaged under a cover. Our winters are milder, so I can use it more for ya!!!!! LOL
It will be much better to take it off and not let it suffer from climate extremes during storage, for a relatively inexpensive cost. I don't think it would damage it though to leave it on the boat. I use mine year round, and haven't had a single problem. 10-100 degrees here with surface temps near freezing, to well into the 90's.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.
