Catfan, should you leave your batteries hooked up to an on board charger and only disconnect them when you're going fishing? I've been told to leave them unplugged until you're going fishing the next day and I've been told to leave them plugged in. I was thinking they said if you left them plugged in, your battery would lose memory.

Batteries have no memory. I never unplug mine except when I fish. If you do unplug them, plug them back in every few weeks.

Menards has the EXIDE Nautilus Deep Cycle group 27 size batteries on sale right now for $60 after rebate. What's everyone's experience with these? 12 month warranty, 550 CCA, 675 MCA, 182 minutes reserve. Anybody with experience? Need a new rear battery on the Lund for the starter, livewells, and electronics, figured this might be worth a shot for the price. If not, its hard to beat the Everstarts.

How long of a run time can I expect on 2 Minn Kota 36v 112 Thrust Terrova's with 3 100ah Interstate Group 31 AGMs. I believe the motors are 52 Amp. Any idea of what kind of speed I can expect from them on a 16' pontoon boat? TIA!!!

So many variables that it's almost impossible to guess. The current drawn by the motors will depend on weight of the boat, wind, current and other things. I wouldn't count on more than an hour of continuously running both motors on 100%.

I know Im reply to an older post, but in playing catch up...How do I know if a battery has heavy plates and should I be looking at the highest amp-hour rating as possible?
