Default lowrance x-52 condensation behind display

I have an lowrance x-52 that I got last summer and on cool mornings I notice that the screen fogs up on the inside , I am sure that this probably is not normal. Has anyone else had same problems and where you able to get it repaired?
    Thanks Ken

Had 2 units with the same problem and the white rice in the ziplock bag cured it. Mine was in the bag for about a month as due to weather and other thing was unable to fish.

Open the unit up and drop a small desiccant pack inside. Change packs if necessary. This works on all electronics. Best to open unit in a low humidity environment, like inside the house or an air condition building.

The units are not sealed under pressure or vacuum or with any inert gasses.

I'd also recommend that you treat the unit like you would a gun with regards to condensation. When bringing it in and out of a controlled environment, keep it in a plastic bag or sealed case, at least until the temperature of the unit matches the surrounding air. This can help keep humidity from condensing inside the unit.
