I guess my big question is what do you hold on to to raise the motor? Do you grab the top of the motor and just pull? Its quite possible I'm just not smart enough for one of these things!!:o

Pretty much, I grab the shaft right below the head. It does not deploy or stow as easy as the MG I had to start with. But the other advanges out way that Thumbs Up. I thinking about adding a rope or something to make it easier.

I have the terrova 80 w 60 in shaft. I press down the lock lever with my left foot & push the motor with my right foot while holding the head with my left hand. Flips right up & slides down to the coller. When bringing it up I grab the head & step on the lock & lay it horizonal & just slide it back till it locks. It really is easy once you do it a couple times.

So after looking at the pics I realize that my front seat is much closer to the bow than these. That would make it easyr to put up & down.

I'd like to see pics, it takes both hands any way I do it, but the Terrova may latch different than the PD V2??

I feel it deploys fairly easily. I usually kneel down next to the foot control, the press the lever in the back of the unit and gently push the motor/prop forward. The two wide brackets under the motor keep it from falling too fast. When it's time to stow I kneel in the same position, depressed the lever and pull up on the shaft until it seats back in the wide brackets. You don't have to turn the motor off. It automatically shuts off when stowed the entire way. I've never used a cable steer TM so maybe I haven't experienced an easier system to deploy/stow.

Damn maybe I ain't doing it right :p I will try your way the next time. But I have put Reel Magic on the shaft and it gets real easy for a few times.

The latch mechanism is just hard to work and release on the PD....On the Terrova it takes no effort at all. At least that was the case when I tried a friends PD out.
