Kenny 12, you placed a great picture (with submersed bush) in post#11, but the video you placed in Youtube has nothing in common with the picture. Was the video taken in DI mode, or it was 2D mode?

No Vik,the only reason i put it up was to show Greg that the depth was not right on the unit.
I tryed out what you said Greg ,Surface clutter i went from 1 through to 10,also salt water ,and fresh water settings .I found that Surface Clutter set to no 3 and fresh water mode was the answer ,no more depth jumping about when i enter shallow water .Thankyou Greg ,Give yourself a pat on the backHands Clapping.

Kenny, thank you for the explanation. It would be great to see a real split screen with DI and 2Dmode, one day .

Kenny, I had mine out only once and i noticed the depth doing the same thing. Thanks for posting the video. and Greg thanks for the solution. It had me kinda worried. The weather has been real messy here and when it does seems to cooperate ive had to work. Ive got some SD cards so i'll get pics eventually. i was amazed at a couple of roadbeds and i old bridge support. Looks just like you were looking at them out the water. Can't wait to get on the water soon.
One thing you can give and keep is your WORD.

God gave us fishing to cure all that worries us!!
