    Default Hummingbird 575 problem

I have a almost new(been used about 6-7 times) hummingbird 575 unit. It has worked every time i have used it until last week. When i turn it on it says transducer not connected? I have plugged and unplugged the cable 5-6 times and it still says transducer not connected? Has anyone had this problem and / or know how to fix it? Any help would be great ! Thanks ! Bigfish5

    Bigfish5,
Next time you take it on the water try forcing it into the Normal operating mode. To do this:
    - Power the unit on as you normally would.
    - While the unit is still showing the title screen (should show something like “Humminbird 575”, press the MENU button.
    - The screen should change to show three or four menu options with the top one being “Normal”.
    - Use the Up Arrow to highlight “Normal” and than the right arrow to start it.
The unit should now be operating and finding the bottom, which means that the temperature sensor in the transducer went out. If it does not; try testing your 757 on another Humminbird unit transducer. Just about any one will do as most share the same 200kHz 2D sonar.
