This depends on EPE.....it varies. But when I drift off, the arrow shows which way I am drifting even at .1 mph. I get a direction arrow. And my maps don't jump around.

Cant do this track with HB gps going this speed. You have no direction indicator, only a donut. This is why I use my garmin with the HB.

I just emailed there support concerning there units because I am in the market and finally saved enough to get a gps. I addressed my concerns about there gps issues and I was in the market for a unit and I am on the fence of which company to go with either H.B. or Lowrance. I was wanting the gps to see my trolling speeds no matter how fast or slow I am going.

I like the HB trolling grid. I like the fact that you can rotate the grid and optimize your trolling patterns for different size coves or smaller lakes. I use it, but then I am running about 2-3 mph when doing this type mapping and dont have donut issues. I like it.

From all of us "Slow technique" crappie fishermen thank you for taking the time to help our "movement"....

You caring about our HB "Donut" issue..and it not even being an issue for yourself...shows what kind of a great person you are...

    Thanks again
