I think it is a problem with the printed circuit board in some of the units made around that time. I had a 332C that would turn itself on and off as it pleased.

You will have to ship the unit to Lowrance for service. I'm not sure if they will be able to repair a unit that old.

Pretty common problem to have keypad failures. Give Lowrance a call and see what they'll do for you. Don't hold your breath for a good solution unless it's under warranty.

Like said if under warranty than send it back. I've got an Eagle that turns it self on,installed toggle switch to cut all power from unit, then when I want to use it just flip the toggle switch on,works for me.

Are you just pushing it once or holding it in for a little bit? It should be held in for 3 seconds. The power button also controls the back light and intensity. See page 32 of the manual. http://www.lowrance.com/upload/Lowra...171_112003.pdf

It's because they are junk. I'd had 4 x125's that did it. Have you also had them start flashing and beeping constantly? thats another lovely quirk that they have. for 169 bucks , lowrance will be happy to fix it. THROW IT AWAY.

I have a eagle 500c same problem. Wire toggle switch in and solve problem. Out of warranty, told me fix it that way or throw away and buy new.
