Only thing i can think of is if you touch any function while spot lock is on, it disengages. On a terrova, even if you touch anything on the foot control it happens.
I went out to try my new I-pilot yesterday and had problems with it.
I set the spot lock and it started holding the spot.
The boat started drifting and I looked at the remote, the spot lock was off.
I turned it back on and the boat started to move. The prop shut off and after a few seconds the spot lock turned off also.
The next try did the same thing, I hit the left button and the motor turned with no problems. I tried the auto pilot and the same thing happens, prop stops and the motor turns to keep course.
Does anyone know what might cause this?
I checked the connections and they seem fine.
