Possible issue with my new MK Powerdrive

I finally got my new MK Powerdrive mounted and new 6awg wire ran and connected on my tracker, so I decided to just hook up the foot petal and power up the motor to see if everything works. Well the motor powers up fine and runs great - I have noticed something however that does not seem to be working right. When I put the petal on constant and roll the speed control dial it powers up and down as expected. However when I put it on Mon the motor keeps running as if on constant. When I press the center button on the foot petal it does not do anything. Basically there is no difference between the two petal settings and the center button does not do anything. I am thnking the petal could be defective - but wanted to check here before contacting Minn Kota.

mine did that took it to a repair place, they checked it out brought me a new foot control , good luck,
