I put mine on an extendable paint roller arm and mounted it with a ram mount so I can level it or shoot it to one side or the other. It fits in a rod holder and extends about 10-12 feet (about a rod length) out in front of the boat, works great for spider rigging or vertical jigging in front of the boat.

All I can do is come up with a need.. Pull pins for quick detaching and mounting. I couldn't use a folding bracket as after I mounted the Terrova the amount of space was limited. ONly time I will need is when I am using electric motor. So I will deploy motor first and x-ducer second. Everything made out of aluminum and all bolts stainless as I am a bad weather fisherman. Not the way I plan it but it sure works out that way.:D
    I like this. Very neat.

    you read my mind....

I was thinkin about that too..... put the 'ducer out ahead of the boat where the bait is. how's it working for you?

FM - It works great, I didn't really think of it myself, a lot of guys up at KY lake have something similar. The big thing up there is fishing stakebeds but if you have the ducer on your TM, you are on top of the stakebed before you know it. That isn't a big deal in deeper water but right now, the best stakebeds are in shallow water but still deep enough that you can't see them, so it helps a lot. With the ram mount you can aim it ahead of the boat at an angle or straight down, whatever you need. The downside is that your GPS puck isn't very close to the ducer so if you find a good mat you still need to get the GPS puck over it to get an accurate mark.
