    Default .gpx to .bin conversion?

I'm wanting to put my Magellan handheld waypoints into my HB 788. I've got easygps downloaded, and the HB PC downloaded. I need to know what I need to do to convert the file. Anyone got any insight into this?

    Lightbulb

You do not need the HB serial cable or the Humminbird PC program to put waypoints on your unit.

I will tell you ( and anyone else that wants to know) how to do this without Humminbird PC. It is very easy to do too.

No not yet. I think I downloaded them to a flashdrive here somewhere. I can't retreive my handheld points here at home- no serial port, and no serial/usb adapter. I had to do it elsewhere.

Did you save them using EasyGPS? If so, you should have a .gpx file saved.

    We can work with this.

I just tried converting them. The message from GPS visualizer (from the link you posted) said it was converted. I saved a file from that, but couldn't reopen it. An .hwr file.

    good. That what we want.

You got you sd card handy? if so, do a quick format on it. I always like working with clean memory.

Just remember, anytime you transfer data, be it serial cable or sd, these units can puke on itself. It happens.
