Are both units position formats the same? like, Degrees,Minutes, Seconds. Make sure they match. There is a reason they need to match.

I don't have my unit here, sent it off Wed. for an sd card slot repair and I can't remember for sure how it's set up. My handheld shows Lat/long in DDMMSS and it displays them in easygps in DD. The file I converted was from easygps and it was in DD, I'm assuming, as that's how they were displayed. I can't remember if I changed my handheld to DD prior to uploading to easygps or if it changed them.

It shouldn’t matter what format you had saved them in as the coordinates get saved as mercator meters anyway and are than converted to whatever format (DD.ddddd, DD MM.mmm, DD MM SS) that you choose on the unit or HumminbirdPC.

If you have the file in an *.HWR format all you should have to do is make sure it is named DAT.HWR and copy it to the SD card. Take the SD card and install it in your unit and power it on. The unit should auto-load the new waypoints.

Wasn't sure of the position format. It used to be required to be same position format (other units). I'm old school. I don't use my HB gps because of the donut, so I wasn't sure, so he couldn't go wrong with what I told him.

DATA.HWR. works. I knew this. That why I use GPS babel. But wasn't sure of the position format.

    Thanks
