Got any solutions for the V2? The shaft slot ain't deep enough.
Well, I mounted the shielded HDSI 180 T transducer to my Terrova today. Probably everybody does it this way but I took some pics. I had the cable dangling around like I saw someone mount it on a PD V2. Didn't work out for me. I think I'll like this much better. Had to remove the shaft with motor from the drive to avoid cutting the cable, but it's just one 3/16" screw. Pull two electrical quick disconnects and voila, it slips right outta' there.
When you get the cable just centered and tight, use a drop of waterproof glue every 6 to 8 inches to hold it there. There's plenty of clearance to slip through the drive. Put 'er back together. And take your time!

Does'nt The Lock Ring On The Shaft Have To Fit In The Groove Where You Ran The Wire?
I was waiting for someone to bring this up. Have you tried deploying the TM after running the cable up the shaft grove? Hope it doesn't damage the cable. I hope this works out because my self and others will probly do the same thing. Let us know if it works out. Thanks ppp

Looks Like I'll be reinstalling my ducer on my Terrova this weekend....
I was fixin to move it totaly off the TM to keep it from binding.

Trust Me. This mechanically works and really well. I stored and deployed a dozen times with no cable contact anywhere. I'd only caution to be sure your xducer cable is shielded! That groove is not used for anything else and the lock/drive ring does not use it. Thank You Minn Kota. You knew I needed that groove for my transducer! :D TIP: Use electrical tape to hold the cable and a cable tie to hold the tape.

You refer to a shielded transducer---is this different from the regular transducer, or did you do something to shield it?
