The track record feature specifies two termini: start (the first point that defines the track) and end (the last point that defines the track). Start = that point where you first press the R (record) button, and end = that point where you press the R (record) button next.

When you use the track record feature to follow a recorded track, you must specify whether you want to follow the track back to its first point (track to start) or to its last point (track to end). If you are off the the recorded track when you press track to start or track to end, i-Pilot will return to the closest point on the track and then follow the track in the specified direction. I haven't thought about, or tried, to record a circular track and then see how i-Pilot performed under those circumstances. It might be a good way to get dizzy!

right, crappiegirl. It ain`t cheap and back home in miss fishing stick-ups i could not justify the cost but here on bull with no visible structure it is worth it. I was fortunate when i built up my crappie boat i choose to add the terrova so all i had to buy later was the $400. I-pilot upgrade.

    Default Peckerwood

I installed i-pilot two weeks ago. The anchor feature is absolutely wonderfull for fishing the submerged brush piles of bull shoals lake. If you choose to set out away from the structure and pitch jigs or if you would rather sit right on top of the treetop and fish verticly, this is a most usefull tool. The track feature allows you to troll from treetop to treetop and at a gps speed rather than just a number on the foot control. Forget the wind, the unit will keep you positioned. Hope this is usefull to someone and if any questions, ask away.

    Question i-pilot,PDV2 vs Terrova

I have a 55lb PowerDrive V2 on my boat now, thinking of getting the i-pilot for it $400,
do away with the foot control, then maybe if the money gets better next year get an 80lb Terrova, Will the setup on the PDV2 change over to the Terrova ?? or will i have to get the Terrova with the i-pilot ? thought maybe there was away to save some money if it would somehow work.looking at $400 now & $700 next year plus battery 24volt,If, or $1400 plus battery,
    Thanks

I don't think so. Go look at the install procedures for each of the motors and I think you will see that they are different.

I am really interested in this site for future data, THANK,S. I just want to say after 2 outings I am thrilled with mine, I have the 55 lb. Terrova I can,t say enough about. I really like the foot control there are several options to use and the hand remote works with it. This is the first foot control motor I can use with ease. And the deploy and retrieve system is supra. I had a Motor Guide wireless " NO COMPARISON" the Motor Guide turns right and left too fast. Randy from WV
