THNX SR, didn't know if there was a difference or not. Picking up my boat tomorrow and looking at the ipilot as an option. I really like what I'm reading so far mite get one.

Ended up with a riptide ST with the Ipilot on my boat. It is a good looking unit, hopes it works good as it looks....

Looking at getting a minnkota terrova with i pilot and with u2 sonar. How do u link up a fish finder with the terrova? I dont have a fish finder up front now but will be adding one when i purchase the motor. Not an electronic junkie so please help me out. Will i need to add a transducer or does the motor have one built in? So will one with downimaging work? Thanks in advance

transducer is built in, I dont think the down image will work with US2 just standard sonar. go to the website of your down image and in the specifications of the unit should say US2 if it will work. Also to use the US2 an adapter will be needed to fit your specific fish finder

May not be the correct thread but...I have started getting some sort of interference on my unit up front. My setup is a terrova with us2 and I pilot with an hds 5 in front ethernet to a hds7 at console. When the prop on TM is turning the whole background on the unit up front turns black on the 2d sonar. it still works almost as if the background color has been changed, turn the prop off and it goes back to the correct pallet. The unit at the console doesnt appear to be affected by it. Any ideas where my problem is? It has always had some little bit of interference with one or the other since I hooked it all up, just seems worse now. Thanks

For starts pull your TM prop off and make sure you don't have any fishing line in there causing it to bind up. Check all your wire connections to be sure they are clean and tight.

I am wanting to move my Terrova between boats. I have the 12 volt TM with the quick release mount (plastic type). Can you buy just the part that mounts to the boat deck or will I have to buy the whole unit to get the base part??
