Default Original Minn kota pd foot pedal problem

I have replaced 3 foot pedals out of the 4 years of owning this trolling motor.
service techs have told me it was a flaw in design that causes them circuit board to
fail. The foot pedals are fairly expensive.
I have called Minn kota and the service dept. said they had no idea there was an issue with these. The internet is full of other people with the same issue so it is kinda hard for me to believe Minn kota does not know of this problem.

Any suggestions on fixing or repairing the small white circuit board or should I
consider it a lesson learned and find another trolling motor?

Can you post pictures of the board? I'd recommend you give John Jones a call at Jones Trolling Motor. (870) 773-3474

I second the John Jones idea. He'll give you the straight story.

If the Factory dont know about it, it's because nobody is sending them back during the guarntee or not haveing factory techs do the repairs.

I'd guess the Power transistors feeding the two-way motor have lost the +12 supply.
This guy Jones may be one of those nerds that 'see' that stuff like a Dick n' Jane book. Good guy to know.
I just wish I could be better at fishing. Or maybe luckier!:D
