I have one of these and don't know much about it. Can some one tell me if it's a good unit (better or worse) for setting way points and accuracy on returning to them? I'm considering a gps/sonar combo, probably a Lowrance, and I'm trying to do a little research before I take the plunge. Those new units aren't give away priced. All input will be appreciated, and keep in mind I'm not real electronics literate. Simple is good. If a good depth finder and the Garmin will do the trick, I'll go to school and learn this little unit. Thanks in advance for all your help and patience teaching this old dog a new trick.

I have a 72 and a 76. Great units. I also have a 997. Use the garmins, one up front and one on my center console to keep control of my speed for long lining. You won't go wrong purchasing the garmin.

I have a Garmin 76csx great unit, as all Garmin's are quite accurate & good to use once u get hang of it. They are easier to use & quicker response time then most all Lowrance's & HB when it comes to taking u back to way point. My 997 would be lost on water if it were not for the 76............U will like the 72
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....
