    Default interlink system

Mounted the Matrix 97 up front the Si unit is in back. Wheres the best spot to mount the interlink and the GPS puck?
Would like the GPS puck up front on the trolling motor. But just checking where everyone is mounting there's? Also wish we could run the Puck on from and back. That would be nice one over each transducer.

I'm running one front and back, over the transducers Pete.

I asked a 'lectronics dealer, he didn't know, so he said he called H'bird
and they said it couldn't be done :p Don't really know who he talked to.

I went ahead and tried it anyway, and it works fine
I'm using an "AS-Y" cable on each unit to hook up the puck, the socket
on the interlink box that is for a puck, is left empty. Holler at me if that
    don't make sense.

J White is correct: you can run a GPS Receiver on each unit when using the InterLink (plus even one on the InterLink for whatever strange reason you may want to do this…). Wish you did know who your dealer spoke with as I would like to correct them.

Greg, the dealer was Justin @ three rivers marine electronics,
of course I have no idea who he talked to - it's been several months
back so he probably doesn't either

another part of my setup - primary is one unit front, one back, as I said.
but also when I'm fishing a lot out the back like now, I've got a second station
and move front unit back onto it. I do this so I can run full screen sonar on one,
and turn sonar off, run full screen gps on the other.
Swap interlink cables around so it's hooked back up,
and now it reads through the puck on the other unit. Says "external remote" on the
diagnostic page. Works great. Only thing I've found is that the unit with the puck attached
has to be powered up first... if you fire the other one up first, it sees no gps ant and balks,
even after you power up the other. No problem once I figured that out. Also, running remote
like this, if you pop in an sd with waypoints on it to upload, it won't recognize it - put it in the
other unit tho and it will load to the network and show on both
