My buddy and shirttail relation JD passed away yesterday after a brief illness. He lived in Harmontown, MS.
He and his wife Gayle ran the Lakeside General Store for years ...it's under the water tower on Highway 310 at the Teckville turnoff going down to Sardis Lake. He and I fished together for years at Sardis.. starting with bass in the 80's moving onto crappie in the 90's. We fished Crappie Master Tournaments for a couple of years and we're lucky enough to qualify for the Grand. He will be sorely missed and fishing in Mississippi will never be the same. Rest in peace buddy and know that not a season will go by without me thinking of the fun and mischief we had on and off off the water.
