Size: 184.5 KBI am just starting to get into crappie fishing but have been making baits for a long time. I have had a stinger mold for a long time and have made baits for ledge dipping.

I have used a black/chartreuse jig lots of times for bass. I got a wild hair and made some black/chartreuse stingers that I plan to try Friday. What color head would you use?

Also I found some glow in the dark powder in my cabinet. Would that be appropriate for any crappie baits?

I will probably use a chartreuse head but it doesn’t seem to matter if the fish are heating. I prefer to use natural Colors when we are fishing for bass or Crappie. Black and chartreuse was always a good color combination to use a lot of guys would want to use orange and Chartreuse chartreuse is good with any color combination but again I prefer to use natural I like watermelon Baby Bass green pumpkin and I use a lot of silver and white laminate we use a lot of white on the trail with different body colors.

I’ve never heard of green pumpkin for crappie but I am a noobie. I’ll have to pour some up and try them.

Thanks. I’ve never tried that combination for crappie. Blue and chartreuse worked in the past but I don’t have nonbleed chartreuse so they turned green. If this wind dies down I plan to try them out tomorrow or Saturday.

Try bait plastic for all your colors everything they sell is non-bleed they have a good color selection also check out their plastic I find it to be the best.
