    Default Dual color troubles

If anyone has advice, I'm all ears. I have a 2" BA Shad mold and tails mold. The tails mold has one injection port and makes a dozen tails a shot. I put them in the body mold and it has a port per lure. When injecting, I have been getting large air pockets in some of the bodies. I suspected the injector is sealing and there isn't a vent. I have also tried pouring, which solves the air in the bodies but now I'm suffering from body/tail separating. I think this is because the plastisol is cooling too fast.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Did you bleed your injector of air bubbles if you poured plastic into it instead of sucking plastic into the injector? Might check your injector o ring. Also when I’m injecting a body onto a tail I shoot it hot. Like 375 and hold pressure. Too cool and not a good bond. I hear some people put their tails in the molds and then put on the molds on a hot plate to warm them up so that the tail plastic is heated.

Most of the time that’s because not enough air is getting out of the mold if it is not vented properly you will have problems I customize my molds if they need to be I don’t advise anybody to do that unless they know what they’re doing.

Thanks for the replies. I suspected the trouble with delamination when pouring could be resolved with warming the plates, but I wanted to bust them apart sooner than that allows.
For the injection issue, I suspected I needed a vent. I feel like injection would be much better than pouring. I'll have to give a solution for a vent some thought and trial one of the body cavities.
