I come up with something a little bit different this is a 4 inch you would fish at wacky warm style I think it would be good for smallmouth don’t know about the smaller guys.
4" is a bit big IMO Bob but definitely for bass. But then again, some 14" or larger crappie and big perch would have no problem attacking it. No lie!!
Rig a 1/8 oz ball head through the center and go catch em!

We will give them a try when it warms up repaired snow here all day and we have it for the next 14 days so whenever the temperature turns to 70 to 80° then we will be out there and give them a try.

Just remember to twitch the rod top slightly ever so often on the way down. Those little legs will wiggle like crazy !
Use a 1/16 oz ball head/ hook size #4 or #2 for a slower fall. Unpainted heads draw zero attention away from your twitchy stick.
Catch fish on it a few times and feel how aggressive the strike. (Can't remember if I caught fish with it using a float on choppy water - bet I did.)

I think AZ smallmouth would crush that color combo pined to my what's on the menu hook.

I have some smaller stinger style bodies that we will make up today but they will be a lot smaller than the above those might be ideal or crappie Will post some pictures of what I’m talking about today.

As I promised I would post today a smaller version we are using the alcohol lamp to weld the bodies together easy does it or you will have a fire in your hands just barely touch the flame and push the 2 baits together.
We are using a 1/32 oz. In the body.
We are using the 180 oz. in the body of this one I believe both of these are small enough to catch a wide variety of panfish.
Outstanding Bob !!!!!!! Excellent !!!!
Tip: the same lures you make and use for this design can be modified for body and stinger tail sizes.
Cut the thicker parts to be joined to shorten the body or
Cut the tails shorter and reattach to the body.
Both sizes you made will most definitely catch fish !!
Now it's time to fill a pail or the sink with water and see the action on the drop or twitched mid depth. You'll probably want to break the ice and try them out in your local lake! Be my guest if you want to sell this design and spread the pleasure to fellow anglers. You're in the business, I'm not and you can offer a range of nice colors and sizes. I've caught 6 species of fish on them.
Tip: next thing to try are the mini-sticks : 2 joined bodies minus tail/ diameter around 1/4".
Man do they catch fish with their walk-the-dog wag darting action !! Will also catch fish wacky rigged (see above) and like you showed.
