Would you take a picture of your mold on both sides and post it and I can tell you more. You most likely do not have the proper Air Vinny.
Hello all,
I need help with my baits done in a aluminum custom mold. The mold has 6 cavities and all the baits when they are injected have air bubbles in the rib. I've tried everything but I can't get rid of these bubbles. I use a vacuum pump, suck up the plastic and then turn the injector upright to eject a small amount, etc etc. Can someone help me? Thanks

I am going to try to help--
Do not shake up your mix, I roll my gallon jug around with out shaking, slowly.
From there on- do not stir your hot mix briskly, do it slowly.
Make sure your mix is fully heated.
When you shoot your mix, be sure and add a little pressure on the downstroke end, not much just a little final push.
This should fix your problem.

Common mistake that most guys make when they first start out if they do not shoot a little bit of the plastic out of the injector before they shoot the mold always shoot a little bit out before you shoot the mold this will push what air you have in the end of the injector out. And of course a lot of the molds out there do not have proper cross venting one of the things you want to make sure when you buy a mold.
It looks like there is a vent issue with that mold. I won't mention the name of the company but I have 5 molds of a particular bait from that company and 3 of them do the same thing as your picture shows. In my case I have tried every trick I know including contacting the company 2 or 3 times about the issue. To their credit, they sent me 2 replacement molds. One of those shoots good but the other one still has the same issue. Go figure. LOL
I have 50+ different bait molds from several different mold makers and I only have problems like you are having with 2 different style bait molds from that same company. I would contact whoever made the mold and tell them about the problem you are having. It could be that you just got a dud mold or maybe it's a design flaw that happens with all of those same molds. Anyhow, I finally gave up finding a solution to my mold issues and just accept that those baits will have bubbles in them. They still catch fish but it's still frustrates me that the molds don't shoot like they should. I hope you have better luck then I did finding a solution to your problem.

I would think maybe opening up the vents a little with a Drexel tool or something might help....but I am just guessing
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I tried opening the vents with a file on one of the molds I was having problems with but it didn't help. If all else fails it may be something Charly may want to try. The frustrating thing with my molds is that that bait comes in 3 sizes and I have molds for each size but only have problems with the medium sized bait molds. It could be a gate issue too but I have not messed with that to find out. Sorry for hijacking your thread Chalry.
