Hopefully tommorow night I’ll show you one in a crappies mouth
This definetly isn’t simething you just start doing and get it right the first shoot, I’m still having difficulty getting the tails to fill out completely, and sometimes when I do I get a thin layer that shoots over to the next bait, I’m using two clamps, I tried injecting slow but that didn’t work, I only got partial tails, then I tried fast with pressure and I got overrun, there is a happy medium that takes a certain “feel”, i kinda wish it was a hair simpler, but I just started so I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it in a few gallons of plastisol, I tried regular and soft aswell to see if that made a difference in how it filled out the tails but it was the same, boy that soft is really soft too, I see why y’all dint prefer it

The warmer the mold becomes with more injections, the less problems, but the injector must have a large enough diameter tip to fill the injection hole of the mold. Small injector tip diameters won't cut it for multi cavity molds with thin tails. 6 oz or 9.5 oz. would be my preference.
The plastic should be at least 300 degrees and very fluid for the Mojo Magic tail to fill all the way in length. I recently had the same problem and went to the 9.5 oz. injector, filling it to more than half.
Ratcheting bar clamps are the only ones I use for injection molds.
Lastly, fast injection is a must, keeping pressure on the handle but not too much so the cavities are blown sideways.
All the grubs pictured will catch fish fine and the lower ones do have the proper tail length proportional to the body. Congrats on the semi-clear body with flash. It always catches fish when fish are found regardless the available light.

Look pretty good to me. Hopefully it doesn’t take several gallons before you get the hang of it.
Don't feel too bad gobbler. All of the Mo Magic molds I have can be a pretty fussy to work with. Those baits look pretty good to me too. Good job.
I have the 3oz basstackle injector, I called do it and asked about injectors they recommended there 4oz and said I could fill three to four mo magic molds with one shot thats why I went with the smaller size but picked the basstackle because of the locking feature
I have a thermometer and my plastic was always in the 345-35ish range when I sucked it up and I did see that things went better once the mold became warm, y’all got any ways to warm a mold other than wasting a first injection?
No....got any ways to warm a mold other than wasting a first injection?
