Shoot your second color hot, and hold a little pressure on the injector for about a ten count. Temperature around 330 is what I do. You may have to clean your first color with a rag and some acetone to remove oil. Acetone kind of opens the pores.
I have been making jigs for a few months now and my laminates keep splitting very easily. Like I can only catch 2 fish and they are split half way in 2. Any suggestions on how to make them a little tougher? I'm a newbie at this.

Got any Pix?
I had that problem because my second color was too cold or Just not hot enough to get a good thermal fusion
Other question would be what brand plastic are you using? certain Plastics can't take the heat that it takes to get a good laminate
Anytime I shoot a hot plastic onto a cold plastic I try to shoot around 350 and hold pressure. Also if the cold plastic has sat around, the longer it sits around the more oil it will secrete therefor you will need to clean it with some rubbing alcohol, rinse and then dry before shooting a hot plastic onto it. If you shoot one color and then another onto it immiadetly no need to clean.
