    Default Soft plastic glitter?

Can you use any type of glitter in your soft plastics as long as it is non-metallic? I find it hard to believe that there is a special "fishing lure" type of glitter other than super fine sizes.

Yes you can use any type of glitter but sometimes the coloring will come off in the hot plastic so it is trial and error you would have to buy a small qualities and experiment with it or tested it I use a lot of different glitter from all over the place.

just make sure it is not metal.

Is this a stuff from Marth•a Stewart we are using some of their stuff could be that it is plastic you may want to lower your temperature to see what happened not all of the glitter out there will work you just have to work with the different ones so what is a trial and error if you are using glitter from different craft stores currently we are using by a different brands and they are all different but I suggest lower the temperature to see what happens .

I used M-F just for plastics this last time and lowered temp and still the same. It must melt at around 275 because I put it in plastic before I could even shoot it. It still did same thing. I love the color but can't find a good one yet. Just looking for a good fire opal with the correct heat rating....that works! I have wasted enough money on it. Lol

I would contact different companies that make it you can ask Jeff at m-f it they have one he probably will send you a sample but contact the other companies to find out if they carry it made for plastic injection I will assuming the stuff you are using is made out of some type of plastic that is so and will melt at low temperatures some other craft stuff is made for sprinkling on something with a little not made for hot plastic so that's why I say you describe one error when you get it from a craft store.

That is why I stopped getting glitter at craft stores Bob. I messed up a lot of high cost plastic experimenting with the stuff. I now just get the glitter from companies that sell it for injection molding fishing lures.

yes Mike you can screw up a lot of plastic in a big hurry by experimenting with different components adding into plastics . I guess I should suggest that you buy directly from companies that sell the stuff that you can add into plastics.
