Was hearing a batch of plastic I normally do 40 seconds stir it up then 20 seconds at a time til its proper temp. After the first 20 second heat opened door and glass just shattered all over the place...

I have been making soft plastic lures for seven years. Everything I know I learned from Snake River and other members on this forum. I try and follow all safety ideas posted here. I have been burned once but I never had a PYREX jar shatter on me. Please be sure you are using room temperature PYREX jars when you begin your work. Work spaces and the tools you use can get cold in cold weather environments.

If it was very cold in your shop the change in temperature might have done it.
