Those look great....the purple with chartreuse tail is awsum
I got a new mold and needed to play some today so after near killing myself clearing the 12" of wet snow we were blessed with over night I got out to the garage and dug out some re-melt scraps.
The mold is a Jacobs Silverfish in the 1 7/8" size. The mold is clean and shoots very well every time. Being formatted with a top half and a belly half and having a horizontal tail, doing tail colors and split body colors are both fairly simple processes and the baits don't suffer at all from eye dips. The eyes are 3mm. The line color baits have a simple black belly pour with bluegill clear injected as the top color.
I have a Twitchy Minnow in the same basic size that reins supreme in current, like in river fishing, but it can have its off days when fishing lakes and ponds with quiet water. I've fished similar commercial baits with fluke bodies and horizontal tails like this Silverfish bait with really good success in lake settings so I am certain that this bait will work great and when used under a float or on a loose line.
I showed this bait to a friend as he was looking for a good crappie bait similar to Rick's 3" walleye bait and he said he'd pay for the mold with the first order. He's not in a situation right now that he can take up bait making but he can afford the mold. I'll cut him a nice deal on his baits so we both benefit.
Again....nice mold and a very clean shooter. Very easy to manipulate too.

I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
