Here's a peek at Do-It's new 2.25" Hellgrammite bait. It has a 3" companion bait but I opted out of that larger size.

The mold shoots very clean and has some options for people depending on how much time they want to spend on manipulating the small parts. I found out that I will need stronger specs if I plan to do too much dinging with the legs and other tiny bits. But that's me, not the mold.

By plucking off the antennae I was able to stick on a pair of 3mm eyes and cover dip them. Next to that bait the eyes were simply dotted on with black plastic before the injection. Tail color shots and two color baits are real simple. The dime helps show the size. In northern-state waters this bait will work great while the larger one is best suited for southern puddles. I have plans to fish tomorrow but it now sounds like I may need scuba gear if the rainfall projections of up to 5" hold together. Have to wait and see.

Anyway, for the guys who fish bug look-alikes, this is a simple mold to master.
