White can be a pain depending on the plastic that you are using .
I added white colorant before heating and wow I burnt the whole cup! Started over and added after I brought up to temp. Here is what I can up with. I did not know white was so finicky? I do now!

That's too funny. My first color I did was white which of course I burnt a few times before I called RonDon and got some help. The new DI essential plastic is the most forgiving plastic I have tried. I had it up to 600 degrees and it did not burn pink. Your baits look great. I reverse that color to fish pink heads and get some contrast. For me it was a matter of learning my microwave and getting the stir timing down. Been lots of fun with some mistakes along the way but that is part of the learning process that I like. Catching fish on my baits when no one else is catching is the stuff! Keep them coming and please be careful. That darn plastic is hot and the fumes have serious issues. I have caught some nice fish on the Mo Magic and it is becoming a favorite this winter. The 2.5 flapjack is a great bait in the spring.

I got the new plastic from do it to test it's great but not soft enough to suit what I'm doing!

Lift....I add softener to my Essential plastic. About 1.5 ounces to a pint. The plastic is awesome then for small baits.
I'm using spike it pourasol soft it's about 10.00 less than the essential series, then I would have to buy softner too just being frugal with my money till I get good at this! Plus the pourasol is good stuff. I'm still in pre-school compared to CTom snake rondon and some others here! With time I plan to be much better! I also noticed hard packing like ship is experiencing went through all my colorants last night and really mixed well with a rod. Really want to thank the guys on this site you have shared your secrets and have been a great help.

So true Bob. I have found out that I need to use a high quality plastic to avoid scorching and burning. Did you watch Strike King last weekend? Wally was using his own design of the two inch soft plastic paddle tail minnow and the Crappies were just eating it up. I will bee going into the garage on Monday when it heats up a bit and make me a few dozen of them.
