Thanks guys I traded for some and they were more bass size and cutting down isn't going to work to well for crappie baits.

Here are some baits shot using the tail mold along with a couple examples of the tail used on a full bait.

I traded some horse heads and pony's and the small ones were for putting in split rings. Hard to use this size on pan fish even cutting them down. Like to 2-tone them but crappiefarmer said he'd had to get some piece to add to the mold to do them.

I don't know what he needed. I didn't need a thing. And those length-wise two colors can be hand-poured in one side and injected to fill the mold. Nothing needed whatever.

I fish the shorties under a float on a 1/32 head cast on a #8 sickle and the work beautifully.

Don't know anything about plastics but can only tell you what he told me:

Everyone else has a 5/8 injection port while Ricks are tapered from 5/8 down to 1/4. If not for the tapered hole, I could use my dual injector on the mold and do top bottom shots and 3 colored baits. The good news is that Bob (snake river) made an adapter that he said he could use on any Jacobs mold.

You guys have a pic of all the different baits you make??? I've stayed away from plastics it's easier and cheaper to buy from you guys!!!

"have a pic of all the different baits you make"....per Fatman

I don't keep a log or record. I don't sell much anymore so I don't worry about keeping track. Most all of what I have done is in a photo bucket account and they are free for the looking at that site.

Those 3" worms you show in the bags are a great cold weather/cold water walleye bait up this way. I do have a bait shop that likes to stock a couple hundred of them in a few colors. Other than that I keep the stuff close to home.

Just picked up the stuff today from Lowe's for the adapter. Got to play with it a little to get everything working smooth.CF
