Those 1" minnows work good all year long. They are a super good summer sunfish plastic.

Here's something else you can do with those segmented body ones.

Looks nice. What size hook do you use on those baits?

Personally I cast a #8 sickle into a 1/32 head without a collar.

Yeah, I have shot the double colors. Do You have any tricks for keeping the tails in place or are You just putting them back in one by one for the second color shot? I have been tucking them back in but the baits in that mold are so small and tight, it can be difficult to get them set up for a second shot and is very time consuming.CF

Its time consuming but that's how I do it. If you have trouble manipulating the tails back in place, use a toothpick to move them. Better than fingers. Even tail molds take time so there's really a no win thing here.

Here are some of the 1" minnows I've done. These are fish catchers.
