Nice bait. We have been killing the with the paddle tail as of late.
Sheeskalambooskabygollydadblabitall what would I do without friends like you and Snake River. Look for photos on Monday or Tuesday with what I come up with in color combos for this lure. This mold is priceless and will not be changed, distorted, drilled, cut, or any anyway wise or other changed by me. I have been looking for a mold like this ever since you guys got me into making soft plastic lures. The VERY FIRST soft plastic I ever tried to do was the Mold I made from Plaster of Paris of my favorite paddle tail lure. Of course I completely screwed it up and it looked like crap. The VERY FIRST mold I bought was the 3" paddle tail from Jannsnetcraft that I hand poured. It was not much better and I did not like the results from hand pouring them one at a time. Besides thhat lure was just not what I fished. I would always try and trim it down to a two inch model. Yep, It looked like crap also.
That is when I was talked / coached / highly suggested / pressured / and convinced to give injection aluminum molds a try. If you only knew how much I wanted a two inch paddle tail mold then you would know why I am so thrilled to have this one. I even got news that the crapppies were sending up an early warning notice to be posted on all of their school bulletin boards. "This just in...Old ship is armed and dangeroue with a new weapon of crappie goingfromthelaketothe fryingpan lure. He is now making his very own paddle tail lures. Flee for your lives. He does ....catch ...and then grease."
