I definitely see where the spoon could help with that especially with the smaller baits.
I kept over filling too and would get way too much flashing. I started experimenting with things from paint can openers to popsicle sticks. I stumbled on the idea of using baby spoons. I used a lighter to shape the end kind of like a funnel so i could directional pour into the mold. It worked.

When I get good I may try and make "G" some Electric Chickens so he can go and pluck some Crappie. He is such a grat friend to me and has given me sound advice about fishing and boat buying. I intend to put it to use very soon.

Yes ship them baits u made for "G" are sure nice. May I suggest a possible color for a baby blue gill. On this same thread 9/11 take your aqua and chartreuse with lateral line, replace the chartreuse with a small yellow/orange color for the belly to resemble a small/baby blue gill. Some days crappie seem to hit only on artificial bait if it has a orange spot on it, my guess is they are feeding on small gills or perch???/ Just a wild guess.

Stay tuned. I will try that on Monday. I learned all I know from reading posts by SnakeRiver and those from Keith Pace that I could find. I have only been doing soft plastics about two times a week for about five months. Just having fun. Appreciate all the compliments.
