Default Trouble with sticky tubes/ curly tails

I don't know if this question has been answered but heres my question. I had a fishing partner that has passed and I received quite a bit of his tackle. We had gotten into fishing for panfish / crappies years ago and some of his plastic baits have stuck together and are sort of sandy feeling. When I seperate them will a coating of worm oil bring them back to life? (make them soft again) if not is there any hope? He also had quite a few of Lew's speed spool reels (old style) is there any place to get parts or to get them fixed?

    Thanks
    Luther

I bought a bottle of Mineral Oil from Walgreens and mixed some shad oil (Garlic) with the Mineral Oil......works pretty good for making curley tails slick again......

Glycerin from drug store. Make em slick and puts a sheen on them. Used to mix Anise oil with it and put some in every one of my worm bags. Got some that are probably 15 years old and still like new. Also you can mix in some Garlic powder and soak baits in that.

Luther ... don't know if this will help or not, but I found this : Mike's Reel Repair - Free Online Schematics for Fishing Reels, Trolling Motors, and Downriggers - Lews ... which might help you define which parts need replaced (if the models you have are listed). Look around the site, too, as they do repair work (if you need to go that route).

Luther, I like to put old baits and also new baits i make in a zip lock bag with Pam, Cod Liver Oil, Garlic Salt and Anise. Revives them and gives them a great smell too.

    Take care.

Not to hijack, but thanks a bunch for that link. I have been looking for a site like that for almost a year.
