marbling can be done with a 2 color injector alternating pressure on each injector while turning the blending block. I have done a good bit of it. It tkes a feel to get it down. just a little pressure on each one.

scales I have done on 5 inch swim baits and it aint much fun. On small baits you need very small mesh to make it look right and its pretty time consuming to do it and make it look good, it needs to be dipped after to seal it.

that is the only way I have heard of it being done in the past was with a twinjector, it seems like I saw eitehr a video or a post somewhere about it about a year ago. I have never tried it myself.

    Keith,

If you are only doing a few for yourself to fish with, would this goofy idea of mine work? Just wondering. Could you just take a pair of your wife's stockings and cut out a 5" x 5" square out of it? Take some black spray paint and spray the stocking. Then lightly touch it to your plastic bait and seal the pattern in clear plastic dip? You can answer here or just shoot me a pm. Thanks.

I dont think you will like the results, the mesh needs to go over the bait then sprayed. The paint will go threw the mesh, transfer of the paint from the mesh will come out more solid
