Default Finally got to go fishing

I finally had a chance to go fishing. I went yesterday and today and it was the first real chance I got to go in about 5 months. I caught 30 yesterday and 31 today and had 24 keepers yesterday and 25 keepers today. These fish were not big fish, mainly around 10 inches but a few around 11 or so. However they fought like they were 2 pounders. I am going to add a few pictures. The first picture is a crappie I caught on one of snakes custom shad skirt molds, I caught it on the first cast with this bait. I will also post a bass I caught on the first cast with the other color of this custom shad skirt bait. I ended up catching some on snakes baits, and some on my baits. I caught 9 on the new slab bandit bait including a bass also on it. I do not know the name of the color it was color number 36. I only had one because it was a sample and I lost it or I would have caught more on it. It sure is a good bait. I had a couple more samples at home but forgot to take them. I caught most of the fish on a bobby garland baby shad. I had a great time and was glad to finally get to go again. Well it actually added the pictures in the wrong order.

seeker thank you for the report I'm glad that those baits worked out for you they do catch fish in I've caught a few myself on them. It is not one of my favorite baits for fishing here though those are still my Spanish. Even at 10 and 11 inches. That's about what we have reach here with the occasional 14 there are a few around 17 but very few.

Snake, I have never done much good on that type of bait, but you sent it to me and I thought I would make a believer out of it. I did not expect to catch anything on it but I did. So it goes to show that it works. This particular area I fish is not known for big fish, I sometimes catch decent ones there but it is more known for amount of fish. There were some places I use to catch several 17 inch crappie but not this particular spot. It has been ages since I caught a llot of good fish though. I did enjoy catching these though. I want to try and go again maybe next week if I can.

Fishing an area off the Tennessee River in Northeast Alabama. It is considered part of Guntersville waterway.

Nice catch. Had to be fun after such a dry spell of not getting to fish. Congrats.
