Whelp....your seeing it a lot different than I am....the only similarity between the tails is they both are forked......the tail on the guppies are longer and have a different shape. The guppie tail in my opinion will have a lot better action than this baby fish or whatever. And I do agree with Jeepguy....your shad stingers are awsum.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

it is the same tail just a little shorter. He already had the program for that tail and just used it for the tail for this bait. It was easier than doing a different program I suppose. A lot of mold makers do that, they will use certain features of one design into another one.

you misunderstood me what I was talking about was the tip of the tail not the whole light. Yes we know the two different baits are different on the light of the tail, but the tip of the tail are the same. Yes you would definitely get more action on of the guppy is a plastic bait the baby fish is a different type of tail action completely. I would assume that this is what Rick was after when he built the mold but I'm not sure he my you build it just to catch? And because it looks good, but on the any case, the little fish will have a slight vibrating action because of the thinness of the little tail in this is what I think will trigger fish. I will have to say and you some also G3 for you to try out you will see a different bait when you see it in your hand. It doesn't look good in the picture at all. We are getting snow here this morning I wish you guys are could sending it to Oregon and keep back down south.

Got to give it to you snake. You are always trying to come up with new and different baits. I'm not sure I would use a bait like this one but I do think with a little different tail it would have good movement. I look forward to seeing the finished bait.

I will take those any day. Color mine in a perch or Shad color pattern. Make them with some float and I know they will bust some crappies on the end of a Carolina Rig or Drop Shot for deep water crappies. I like the 1.5" size too. Might try them on a plain #4 hook too. You can send me all rejects as well as the ones G3 does not want.

I will pass on the snow from Oregon. I saw NE Ohio get clobbered on the weather channel. I got freezing cold looking at that mess. Brrrrrrrrrrr. 65 here yesterday. 55 today but sunny. I do not fish hard water at all.

Glad I moved to the south.

I am liking the look, and as you mentioned before as long as it catches fisherman it does not have to catch fish. I am like a few others though, I do not think it will be very productive where I am but in some areas it will work well.
