    yes it has a big factor on watching what is going on in your water the fish will change their feeding frenzy's according to what is going on in your lake or stream en masse which you have to imitate.

    the colors in my area seem to change by the year or every two years. all the basic good colors will always catch fish, but it seems the fish will bite one certain color better than others for a year or two and then they will switch. I use to fish enough to figure it all out, now I do not have time.

    we will catch them on every color of the rainbow it seems like times when they will hit later colors in other times they will hit darker colors. But I do not have any preference pertaining to colors my favorite colors are Gray black and brown in chartreuse . In turquoise transparent greens. What do you think of black and pink.

    Black and pink is probably my least favorite to be honest. I have not used it in a long tiem though but years ago I could not buy a hit on that color.
