OK, Vic, what was the verdict? Did you get the Canon SX 50 Hs? Results? Sample pix? Recommendations for fellow fishermen?
Prefers: You went with a Canon Powershot SX280. How's it working? Sample pix? Recommendations?
While investigating these two cameras, references to the Canon PowerShot SX510 HS kept coming up. It, too, is a fine looking unit. At the moment, its price is identical to the SX280 and it has a longer zoom. Was this an option, Prefers? Why did you pick one over the other? Anyone else have experience with this camera?
So.....the verdict is...........drum roll please..........Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200. It cost a bit more than I wanted to spend, but in several reviews (including the one at CNET, it got really great reviews on quality of pix, as well as ease of use. I wasn't really interested in a pocket-sized camera because I actually like a little weight to help hold the camera still. Will try posting some pix as soon as I can and let you guys decide if I made a good choice. I really appreciate all the help!
