I have an AquaVu that someone gave me to get it out of their garage. I've used it in Lone Star lakes where the water can be very clear. Light is your biggest problem for distance.

What would you estimate the AquaVu's range to be in the middle of a sunny day with clear water?
Depends on how deep.
Clear water... sunny day... 15-20 FOW 10-15 ft

Some of the newer ones will do better than that. The cams.used on the newer marcum and vexilar cams are alot higher resolution and some also have lights built in for low light situations
Corker, I have the AquaVa, I use it some ,saw fish on it many times at Gaston Lake which is fairly clear, one summer I saw a group of big crappies at about 12 feet ,did not fish for them ,was playing with unit, then that winter I went fishing there and for most of day had no fish and started in when I thought about that place and went to it and caught 17 big crappies and I think about 7 were 15 inches,I put it on Va board a couple years ago,and if I had your minnows no telling how many I might have caught,LOL,you remember me love to Kidd with you about your minnows and my jigs. My grandson lost his shotgun in the water last year and could not find and I gave him that to look for it,and he found it in just a few minutes. I don,t think you will see over 10 feet with it unless it is real clear,I should use it more but Fall to Spring if on water I like my bait wet so summer has been the only time I use it.It was winter when grandson use it
