well have had a few calls from out of towners and looking good so far and the local boys are looking forward to taking all you out of towners money they say you guys dont stand a chance LOL anyway seriouly if your interested give me a call and let me know oh ya we decided to drop the membership fee for the club to just $5 being only one tournament left for the season and if you are fishing with a minor they are free and right now we are talking about nexted years fee being something like $20 per person and $30 for family got quite a few guys fish with thier wifes and kids and we want to keep this inexspensive and fun for all also last week Paul Alpers the president of crappie masters came by last week and he was excited for us to get this up and running and hoped that we could someday get up a three lake circuit between rathbun saylorville and red rock dont know but if enough of you northern guys are interested we could try it anyway i got to get to work here fishing is still good down here so I will get out of here and hope to hear from you soon.

looks like the weather is going to be GREAT and the fish are starting to bite again and if everyone who has called me or said they would be in shows up we could have close to 10 teams showing up so if you are interested give me a call and I will be glad to give you any other info you might need and even if you cant make this one keep us in mind cause nexted year we are going to try and hit the ground running in late april and diffenetly have at least one tourny a month all the way thru the year!!! Everyone talks about getting something going or why dont we have any tournys here in Iowa will here is your chance to be a part of it and show your support with more teams getting involed the more fun we can have and the more things we can do and the more ideas we will have anyway keep us in mind and call if you have any questions or need directions thanks again. WELL wish I could say it was a good tournament I thought it was going to be pretty good from the amount of calls I got but alot of no shows what a shame fishing was still PRETTY DANG GOOD first and second place was decided by 3 hundrends of a pound first came in at 5.67lbs and 2nd 5.64lbs big fish was in at 1.76lbs and one of the teams reported catching a few walleye in the brush. Anyway to those that showed up thanks GREAT JOB to those that didnt make it you missed some good fishin. This was the last one for the year but we will be up and running earily nexted year looking at holding a membership drive around 4/15/2010 and holding first tournament the following week and hopefully we can get enough interest to have one tournament a month thru the year so guys if you want to see this happen ya gotta make an effort to support us together we can make this happen and bring some good fun tournaments and keep it building thanks again guys and see you in the spring

OUR there enough teams interested in the saylorville or redrock area to start a chapter up there looks like coralville is going to join up with us we would need someone to take the reins up there do the leg work set up the weigh in site collect the paperwork money and so on but that would give us 3 or 4 lakes to hold the tournaments on and any member could travel to any of them and they would all be held under our club and insurance would cover them all at Rathbun Lake we plan on 1 tournament a month Frist one April 29 and the 4th sunday of every month thru september 23 We left october open so maybe if the club does good in membership we can plan a BIG all state fish off Anyway If anyone is interested let me know?????
