I often use scuba gear to map out the area around a client's pier, and I almost always find something that they didn't know was there (at least that is what they say). Old appliances - refridgerators, microwaves, etc. - not a good idea. One clients best spot that he caught crappie from (before I put in my PVC reef) was an old toliet. He had no idea it was there - just knew that he caught fish there.
Another client's best spot was a plastic lawn chair, that he thought was stolden years ago. Apparently the wind had blown it off his pier.
We need to all try to use materials that will not harm our precious water. If I find materials that shouldn't be there - I'm going to do my best to pull them out and dispose of them properly.

Agreed, Bad Idea, 5 gallons of concrete will sink just about anything you can fit in most boats or drag. I would guess. It sure sinks the Cristmass trees good.

Looks like a porcelin toilet or plastic chair would be not worse than pvc. But old appliances should be a big no.

Be careful diving around docks. Electricity can do strange, strange things when around water. If you ever feel the least tingle in the water, do NOT, (I repeat) do NOT swim toward the dock. Buddy it will kill you dead.

I have been a certified diver since 1982 and I will not dive near a dock--especially one that has electricity running to it. I have seen, first hand, what carelessness or lack of maintenance will do for an unsuspecting soul swimming near an ungrounded or reverse-polarity dock.

Acid is not the problem - it would disperse rapidly and be undetectable almost immediately. Lead is the big problem. As the other guys said, this is a very bad idea and if you got caught would earn you a big fine or maybe even jail time.
