The FFA built another 80 condos and placed into Degray Lake this spring with the help of the Corp. of Engineers. That's a total of 240 condos my students have built in the past two years.

Here's a couple of pictures of the condos "in the water". They were in about 10 feet of water.

If may do so, would humbly make a suggestion, try a variety of fish attractor types as an experiment; bamboo, "C" trees, BB`s (fruit limbs stuffed opposite directions through a cement block), "supers" (BB`s with a "C"tree on top), wooden pallets, and PVC, perhaps several artificals as well. Would recommend some close to shore, some further out, ect, but try to use the same type in each set; ie, 5 BB`s shallow, 5 further out, 5 midlake, ect. This hopefully would give your class a broader representative basis of each types` useage overall, would also give more of a complete picture of what is using them when: won`t tell you WHY, but that can be deduced, generally. Plus there are of course times of the year that certain species of fish just don`t use them at all, for a variety of reasons, that will bocome obvious too. Would be a good long term college thesis paper/ project for any student interested in aqua culture, fish farming, or guiding. Not to mention interesting youth in fishing as a lifetime hobby; there are few persons who lose the desire to fish who actually CATCH even a few decent fish occasionally; and especially if they know they helped make the fishing better! Let them go and reap a "bumper crop" off one of those "plantings" and see how fast they forget....being down South, have you ever heard the term "ruint"? Plus, might make a good long term thread!
