Reply With Quoteit would probably work. i just thought the whole idea was to use pvc so you wouldnt get hung up as much. if you put wood in your condo then the jigs will get caught up some.

A lot of the idea behind pvc is it will last forever as opposed to having to be replaced every few years. Putting a little wood with the pvc sounds like a good idea. It might get the crappie attracted to the pvc a little quicker. Some say it takes a little longer for the algae to grow on the pvc, so it takes a little longer for them to attract fish. I'm not sure if this is the case, but your idea should solve that issue.
