those will tip over very easily due to the heigth of the base. Use something that has a larger footprint like the milk crate or something life that with a BIG base
This is my first attempt at making some crappie condos out of pvc pipe.
I used nothing but 1/2 inch pvc pipe to mimic branches as much as possible.
Before I mixed the concrete, I went ahead and sawed the lengths of pvc that I wanted.
I used 10 inch plastic flower pots from Walmart that were .88 each. I used the fast setting quickrete. I know it is more expensive, but I found it to be very helpful in the early stages of the pipe placement.
I screwed a 2 inch screw halfway in the pipe end that stuck in the pot to make sure they won't pull out. It might be a waste of money and overkill, but I want to make dang sure nothing goes wrong and these remain permenant.
I also used milk crates as pipe support. Some of the pipes wanted to fan out a little too wide. The crate kept them perfectly where I wanted them.
What do you guys think?

Thanks for the input.
What I plan on doing is attaching a 20oz. bottle or two to the top to make sure it remains upright.
They look good. But I don't think a 20 oz pop bottle will float them up.Try a milk jug.
They are aweful tall & heavy for a 20 oz bottle to try to hold up.
Problem is.....
Way too organized

I know that I appreciate the input. It will help me when I built my condo's. Wide Base. Yes! Learning much here.
You can still use the one's you have if you'll rig you a few "spider legs" somehow. Then next time, just use an 18-qt plastic dishpan (as discussed on this forum by Rick, I think) as a mold and make a bunch.
Simple, sweet and cheap...the key to success. <><

You can use a torch and bend 4 or 5 over out of each pot and make some spider legs. The dishpans are $2 each at a dollar store and you reuse them over and over.
