Once in lake Murvaul my brother-in-law and I place some cedar trees out. We went and fished other spots, without much luck. Two hours later we wanted to see what the trees looked like on the finder so we went back. After looking at the brush I noticed fish on it so we stopped and fished. We caught 30 nice White Perch off those trees. I could not believe they were on those trees so soon.

The time can be short or long because some places are seasonal. I've put in some that never produce for some reason also ?

We have caught crappie from cedar trees that were dropped a month earlier and the needles were still on them because when you would hang it with a jig it would have green needles on the hook.

Thing Is That With The Needles On Sometimes They Will Moss Over. Also The Fisheries Folks Say You Need Open (8'' Spacing Or More) In Your Cover For Bigger Fish To Feel Comfortable To Move In. Some Will Always Use The Edges. I Peref Stakebeds With 1' Or More Spacing On The Stakes.
