Sinking hardwood pallets is good . But short hardwood or cedar stakes drove in the bottom are easy. This stakebed structure lasts a long time and hang ups are fewer. You can pull jigs through verticle stakes without hanging. Brush that is horizontal are hook magnets . The stakes need no weights and can easily be driven in under ther surface or left above if you wish.

Bamboo run threw a cement block like some of the guys here use would work. Or throw a dead fall hard wood tree in there. You might snag a few branches but if you use a long rod you should be able to work your jig around with few snags. I like the stake Idea this was just in addition.

Pvc Pipe Trees On There Sides Work Pretty Good And They Dont Hang Up Your Jigs. Just Drill A 4 Or 5 Holes To Make Them In A Cross Pattern So That They Will Stand Up Off The Bottom. Put A 8" Block On A 3 Or 4 " Pipe With 3/4" Cross Pipes For Limbs. Slide The Block On Before You Put Your Cross Limbs Through And The Block Will Hold It Down.

Stakes sounds like the way to go. But what about a milk crate with bamboo run thru it with wieght in it to hold it down? Or see this.

I was thinking about sinking some stuff, and or making stake beds etc. Then I bought a 797. 1 pass through a cove I was thinking about adding some structure in, I realized there was already plenty in there. Problem Solved.
Here's the proof. Not saying that adding your own stuff isn't good, but I won't be spending money on it as long as side-imaging exists.

We have lots of freeloaders here too. That is what we call guys that never put out any but just fish what we labor to build. Our natural structure is about gone and we spend our time and money to build a spot. Nothing worse than the same guys who refused to help always fishing those spots we built.
